Alocasia Cucullata

The Alocasia Culcullata is a tall, leafy, green indoor plant. The leaves grow wide and in every direction. They are cute and nimble and relaxing to look at, which is why it is called the ‘Buddha’s Palm.” It is also referred to as elephant ears. This plant is not particularly toxic, but it will cause irritation around the mouth if consumed.

How to Take Care of Alocasia Cucullata

Light: Use bright, indirect light on this plant.

Water: The soil on this plant should be moist, but not completely wet. It should be misted frequently.

Soil: Well-draining potting mix is the way to go with this plant.

Temperature and Humidity: This plant LOVES humidity! Keep it away from air conditioners. It is best situated in temperatures ranging from 60 F to 80 F.    

Fertilizer: Use a liquid houseplant fertilizer on the elephant ears every two weeks.
