Asparagus is one of the most delicious vegetables. It is versatile, it is made so yummy with spices, and it’s easy to cook. The asparagus fern is perfect for those asparagus lovers. It’s a fern because of the way it looks like one. However, it’s not actually a fern. It’s bushy and feathery with light foliage and it will induce vomiting in pets.
How to Take Care of an Asparagus Fern
Light: The asparagus fern actually really likes shaded areas and a little bit of indirect light. It cannot handle direct sunlight.
Water: Check the top two inches of the plant to see if they are dry. If they are, water the plant.
Soil: Use well-draining pot soil that is slightly acidic.
Temperature and Humidity: Normal humidity is fine for the asparagus fern because it’s not really a fern. And it’s good to keep the plant between the temperatures of 50 F and 75 F.
Fertilizer: Balanced fertilizer creates the best asparagus ferns.
